BRAC Bank Limited has recently inaugurated an Apon Shomoy outlet, a dedicated customer service center,
at Citygroup factory premises in Rupganj, Narayanganj, reports in a press release. With the opening,

As a part of its corporate social responsibility, Bank Asia has provided higher studies scholarship to 33 meritorious students of Chatkhil and Sonaimuri Upazilas of Noakhali and Ramgonj Upazila of Laxmipur districts on Saturday, reports in press release.

present. A large number of people including students, teachers, journalists, businessmen and local elite attended the function.
It may be mentioned that Bank Asia gives scholarships for higher study to the meritorious students in the rural areas, where the Bank has branches.
A total of 194 (one hundred ninety-four) students have been selected for Bank Asia Higher Studies Scholarship for the current year.

Janata Bank Limited (JBL), the 2nd largest state-owned commercial bank (SCB) in Bangladesh, has earned net profit of Tk 955 crore after tax and provision in 2013, said a press release.
With the bold leadership of its management, in 2013, the bank has achieved the first position by securing
highest operating profit among the SCBs, as well the bank stood 1st in acquiring highest net profit among the scheduled banks of the country, claimed the press release.
