Al-Arafah Bank signs MoU with HAAB

Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) at the board room of the bank.

Under this agreement, HAAB will now use online banking facilities of all branches of Al-Arafah Islami Bank, said a press release.

NCC Bank inks MoU with ICC for ticket sales

NCC Bank Limited an authorised partner of MoneyGram signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Ticket Sales of ICC World Twenty20 Bangladesh with ‘Bigtree Entertainment Private Limited’ and ‘AttraBiT Technologies and Solutions Limited’ – ICC appointed ticketing agency – at the bank’s Head Office recently.

Mohammed Nurul Amin, Managing Director and CEO of NCC Bank Limited, Fakrul Islam Chowdhury, Executive Vice President of NCC Bank Limited, Juanid Shaikh, Asstt. General Manager of Bigtree Entertainment Private Limited and Ridwan Mustafiz, Chairman of AttraBiT signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.

The ticket sales will start on November 17 this year. Tickets will be available in 44 selected MoneyGram booth of NCC Bank Limited. The ticketing system will host inventory on cloud and will have print on demand real time printing.

AB Bank signs MoU with CPTU on e-GP registration

AB Bank Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU), Ministry of Planning on “Registration with Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) System” recently.

The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry of Planning at Agargaon in Dhaka, said a press release.

Under the MoU, CPTU will provide e-GP Portal Dashboard and training to nominated focal persons of the bank on e-GP portal link as the e-payment service provider.

As a member bank, AB Bank will provide services like registration/re-registration of bids/tenders and sell tender documents on behalf of procuring agencies and procuring entities within the territorial jurisdiction of the bank.

Shamim Ahmed Chaudhury, President and Managing Director (Current Charge) of AB Bank Limited and Amulya Kumar Debnath, Director General, CPTU, Ministry of Planning, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.

Mohammad Mejbahuddin, Secretary, IMED, Ministry of Planning, Government of Bangladesh attended the MoU signing ceremony and presided over this function.

Mercantile Bank, First Security Bank sign deal.

Md Abdul Jalil Chowdhury, Managing Director and Choudhury Moshtaq Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Mercantile Bank and Syed Wasec Md. Ali, DMD of First Security Islami Bank, seen at an agreement signing ceremony in Dhaka recently.

Mercantile Bank Ltd and First Security Islami Bank Ltd signed a ‘Subscription agreement’ recently.

As per the agreement, Mercantile Bank invested Tk 180 million in the Mudaraba Sub-ordinated Bond of First Security Islami Bank Ltd.

DBBL mobile banking now available on Robi network

Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd and Robi Axiata jointly signed an agreement on mobile banking to provide banking services to vast segment of unbanked population through Robi network on Tuesday, says a press release. Michael Kuehner, chief executive officer of Robi Axiata Ltd, and KS Tabrez, managing director of Dutch-Bangla Bank, signed an agreement.

Under this agreement, Robi subscribers will now able to conduct their financial transactions by using their any types of mobile device through a convenient and at affordable cost.

This partnership will be aimed at making the concept of inclusive banking a reality for customers in Bangladesh. 

Rozano Marius Planta, country head, digital services of Robi, and AKM Shirin, deputy managing director, and Mir Mominul Huq, head of mobile banking division of Dutch-Bangla Bank, were also present.
