Nirmal Chandra Bhakta, General Manager of Bangladesh Bank and Khondker Fazle Rashid, Managing Director of Dhaka Bank Limited, sign an agreement in Dhaka.

Bangladesh Bank and Dhaka Bank Limited recently signed a participation agreement on refinancing in Hybrid Hoffman Kiln (HHK) or equivalent Technology of Brick Field.

Nirmal Chandra Bhakta, General Manager, Agricultural Credit and Financial Inclusion De-partment of Bangladesh Bank and Khondker Fazle Rashid, Managing Director of Dhaka Bank Limited signed the agreement on behalf of their organisations, said a press release.

SM Moniruzzaman, Executive Director, Bangladesh Bank and Neaz Mohammad Khan, Deputy Managing Director, Dhaka Bank Limited were also present on the signing ceremony.

Western Union’s service was launched at Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited at a function at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka Tuesday.

Masud Biswas, General Manager of Bangladesh Bank inaugurated the service as the chief guest.

Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director of IBBL presided over the programme. Roy Fernandez, Director, Operations, East and South Asia, Western Union attended as special guest. Md. Nurul Islam and Md. Mahbub-ul Alam, Deputy Managing Directors of IBBL also spoke.

Senior officials of Islami Bank and Western Union were present.

Masud Biswas said, Islami Bank actively supports the socio-economic development of the country.

Mir Mominul Huq, head of Mobile Banking, DBBL, Rubaba Dowla, CSO and head of m-commerce of Airtel, Miran Ali, managing director of Bitopi Group, sign an agreement in Dhaka.

Dutch-Bangla Bank (DBBL), Airtel and Bitopi Group signed an agreement on Mobile Banking Services at the DBBL Head Office.

Mir Mominul Huq, head of Mobile Banking, DBBL, Rubaba Dowla, CSO and head of m-commerce of Airtel, Miran Ali, managing director of Bitopi Group, signed the agreement in Dhaka recently, said a press release.

KS Tabrez, managing director of DBBL, Abul Kashem Md. Shirin, deputy managing director of DBBL and Adil Hossain Nobel, head of Corporate and SME Sales of Airtel were also present.

Under the agreement, employees of Bitopi Group will receive their monthly salaries in their DBBL Mobile Banking Accounts used by Airtel connection.

After receiving their salaries in their mobile accounts, the employees will be able to withdraw and deposit cash from any nearby agent, DBBL branches and ATMs, transfer money to other mobile accounts, buy goods and services from retailers and pay utility bills throughout the country and moreover will get the opportunity of banking with a Bank.

ICB Islamic Bank Limited has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hotel The Cox Today, an exclusive hotel in Cox’s Bazar,  with a view to provide special service for card holders and privileged customers of the Bank, says a press release. Under this agreement, Hotel The Cox will provide special discount to ICB customers on different services.

Villy Vellayappan, chief operating officer, ICB Islamic Bank Ltd, and Mohiuddin Khan Khokon, director sales and marketing of Hotel the Cox Today Dhaka, signed the agreement.

Mamoon Mahmood Shah, managing director and chief executive officer of ICB Islamic Bank, and other officials of the Bank were also present.
