KS Tabrez, Managing Director of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited, inaugurates the 127th branch of the bank at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Sharani at Tejgaon in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman hands over a cheque for scholarship money to a student at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Export Import Bank of Bangladesh Limited distributed scholarship to poor and meritorious students under its regular scholarship programme.

Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Atiur Rahman handed over cheques of scholarship to the students as chief guest in a programme held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka on Wednesday, said a press release.

Chairman of Exim Bank Md. Nazrul Islam Mazumder was present at the function as special guest while Managing Director of the Bank Dr. Mohammed Haider Ali Miah presided over the programme.
Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank SK Sur Chowdhury spoke at the programme.

Directors Md. Abdul Mannan, MP, Habib Ullah Dawn, Nurul Amin, Mohammad Abdullah, Md Shahidullah, Md Omar Farooque Bhuiyan, Lt Col (Retd) Serajul Islam BP (BAR), Ranjan Chowdhury,

Khandakar Mohd Saiful Alam, Abdullah Al-Zahir (Shapan), DMD and executives of the head office also attended the function.

M. Azizul Huq, Chairman, Pubali Bank Shariah Supervisory Committee, presides over the Shariah Supervisory Committee meeting at the bank's head office in Dhaka recently.

The 12th meeting of Pubali Bank Shariah Supervisory Committee was held at its head office recently.

M. Azizul Huq, Chairman of Pubali Bank Shariah Supervisory Committee presided over the meeting, said a press release.

The meeting reviewed the overall position of the Islamic banking. The bank has been providing Islamic banking services in Principal Branch, Dhaka and Stadium Branch, Sylhet on the basis of Islamic Shariah.

Ahmed Shafi Choudhury, Director, Helal Ahmed Chowdhury, Managing Director, Prof. M. Muzahidul Islam, Islamic Economist, Prof. M. Mansurur Rahman, Mowlana Abdullah Bin Sayeed Jalalabadi, Md Mahbubur Rahman and Abdul Gofran, Head of Islamic Banking Wing of Pubali Bank were present in the meeting as members of bank's Shariah committee.

Mosharaf Hossain - Rabiul Hossain

Md Mosharaf Hossain was promoted to Deputy Managing Director of Uttara Bank Limited recently.

Prior to this new position, he was Executive General Manager of the bank, said a press release. He started his career in Uttara Bank Limited as a probationary officer in 1987.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Rabiul Hossain was also promoted to DMD of Uttara Bank Limited. Prior to this he was the Executive General Manager of the bank. Rabiul Hossain started his banking career in Uttara Bank Limited as a Probationary Officer in 1987.

Md Habibur Rahman joined the Al-Arafah Islami Bank as its managing director on Monday, said a press release. 

Earlier, he was the deputy managing director of Islami Bank Bangladesh.

 
A former student of Dhaka University, Habibur started his banking career as a probationary officer of Sonali Bank in 1978 and then joined Islami Bank as a senior officer in 1983.
