Pubali Bank Limited (PBL) has inaugurated its 400th branch at Putijuri under Habiganj district recently. Chairman of the Board of Directors of PBL Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder, MP, formally inaugurated the branch while PBL Director Ahmed Shafi Choudhury attended the function as special guest, presided over by its Managing Director Helal Ahmed Chowdhury. In his speech, Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder said PBL is committed to offer the best and innovative banking services needs of the market. As a part for providing better services and meeting clients’ increasing demand, PBL has opened its 400th branch at Putijuri. He hoped that PBL would surely serve its customers with utmost satisfaction with the use of modern technology in the branch. In this context he also urged the local businessmen to avail the facility of the bank to expand their ventures. In his speech Helal Ahmed Chowdhury said the PBL has been providing better services for its customer with a promise of keeping up its original tradition. The 969th branch of Bangladesh Krishi Bank was opened at Tajpur Bazar in Sylhet on Thursday.

Finance Minister Abul Mall Abdul Muhith inaugurated the branch as chief guest.

Managing director of the bank Mohammad Mukter Hussain presided over the inaugural function. Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury MP of Sylhet-2 was present at the function as special guest.

Four branches of Sonali Bank Ltd (SBL) in Chittagong have been brought under online banking system on Thursday. The customers of branches will now get the online banking service with 76 other branches in the country.

Syed Golam Kibria, commissioner of Chittagong Custom House, R U Ahmed, chairman of Chittagong Port, Mahbubul Alam, senior vice president of Chittagong Chamber, and Abdus Salam, chairman of CDA, formerly inaugurated the banking activity at the Chittagong Huse, Chittagong Port, Agrabad and Laldidigh branches respectively.

Dhaka Bank Ltd recently opened its 55th branch at Mohakhali in the city.

Rakhi Das Gupta, director of the bank, formally inaugurated the branch, said a press release.
