Financial transaction through the country’s internet banking jumped by 41 per cent during the first nine months of the current fiscal year (FY17).

5-yr govt treasury bond auction today
The auction for 5-year Bangladesh Government Treasury Bond, bearing coupon rate 5.84 percent, will be held at Bangladesh Bank today (Tuesday).
Bond worth about Tk 1000 crore at face value will be re-issued for the 5-year bond to be included in the auction, said a Bangladesh Bank press release on Monday.
Any bank or financial institution having current account with Bangladesh Bank including banks and financial institutions appointed as the primary dealer of the government securities will be eligible for submitting bids for themselves or for their individual or institutional investing clients.
Bids quoting desired price and nominal amount for each Tk 100 should be submitted in electronic format on Bangladesh Bank (MI) module from 09.30 am to 12.00 noon today.
