BCBL holds its biz dev meeting
SA Chawdhury, CEO and Managing Director of BCBL, presides over a business development meeting of the Bank in Dhaka.
Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited (BCBL) held its Business Develop-ment Meeting-2012 of Dhaka Divisional Managers at the head office on Thursday.
Managers from 17 branches of Dhaka division & high official executives of the head office were present.
Chief executive officer and managing director of BCBL S.A. Chawdhury presided over the meeting.

Al-Arafah Bank holds board meeting
Badiur Rahman, Chairman of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd, presides over a meeting at a hotel in Dhaka.
The 224th meeting of the Board of Directors of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd was held at a city hotel.
Badiur Rahman, Chairman of the Bank, presided over the meeting, said a press release on Wednesday.
Vice-chairman of the Bank SM Shameem Iqbal, members, Md Harun-Ar-Rashid Khan, Nazmul Ahsan Khaled, Abdul Malek Mollah, Md Enayetullah, Abdul Moktadir, Ahamedul Hoque, Abdus Samad, A N M Yeahea, Engineer Kh Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Abdus Salam, Niaz Ahmed, Md Ashik Hossain, Mohammad Emadur Rahman, Md Rafiqul Islam and Dr Momtaz Uddin Ahmed attended the meeting.
General Manager of Bangladesh Bank Mizanur Rahman Joddar, Managing Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd Ekramul Hoque and company secretary and Deputy Managing Director Md Mofazzal Hossain were present.
The meeting reviewed overall business performance of the Bank.

Shahjalal Islami Bank holds 150th board meeting
The 150th board meeting of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) was held at a port city hotel recently, says a press release. Anwer Hossain Khan, chairman of board of directors of the Bank, presided over the meeting.
The board approved a number of investment proposals and discussed various issues relating to policy matters of the Bank.
Among others, Khandoker Sakib Ahmed, vice-chairman of the board, directors-- Akkas Uddin Mollah, Mohammed Solaiman, Syed Nurul Arefeen,
Tofazzal Hossain, Abdul Halim, Abdul Barek, Mohammad Hasan, Md Farooq, were also present.

Jamuna Bank holds board meeting
Jamuna Bank Limited (JBL) held its 188th board meeting at its head office in the capital recently.
Md Belal Hossain, chairman of the Bank, presided over the meeting, said a press release.
Al-Haj Nur Mohammed, chairman of the JB Foundation, Mahmudul Hoque, chairman of the executive committee of JBL, Md Motior Rahman, managing director, Abul Shahjahan, deputy managing director of the Bank, among others, were present at the meeting.
The board assessed various operational facets of the Bank at length and took some fundamental and sensible steps for the expansion of a variety of activities of the Bank.

Prime Bank's annual business review meet held
Prime Bank Limited held Annual Business Review Meeting recently at Regency Hotel in the city.
Chairman of the Bank Md. Shirajul Islam Mollah was present as chief guest, says a press release.
Executive Committee Chairman Mafiz Ahmed Bhuiyan, directors Quazi Sirazul Islam, M A Wahhab and Firoza Amin also attended the meeting presided over by Managing Director Md. Ehsan Khasru. Shirajul Islam Mollah asked the officials concerned to make the cluster management more effective as the bank implemented the cluster system successfully.
Mentors of different clusters presented business summares of their respective clusters and described both strengths and weaknesses of their venture.
Besides, the strategy and business target for 2011 were also discussed in the meeting.
Among others, SEVP and Head of Human Resources Division Quazi A.S.M. Anisul Kabir, deputy managing directors Ahmed Kamal Khan Chowdhury, Md. Golam Rabbani and Muhammad Yasin Ali were also present.
