Md Motaleb Hossain has recently been promoted to the post of deputy managing director of Standard Bank, the bank said in a statement yesterday.

Hossain started his banking career with Arab Bangladesh Bank, and later worked with Shahjalal Islami Bank.

He joined Standard Bank as senior executive vice president and manager of principal branch in 2014, according to the statement.

A signing ceremony was held for Long Term Financing Facility (LTFF) under Financial Sector Support Project (FSSP) between Bangladesh Bank and United Commercial Bank Ltd (UCB) on December 01, 2015 at Jahangir Alam Conference Hall of Bangladesh Bank. Mr. Md. Ahsan Ullah, Executive Director and Project Director of FSSP, Bangladesh Bank and Mr. Mohammad Ali, Managing Director of UCB signed the agreement on behalf of the respective institutions. The Honorable Governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr. Atiur Rahman graced the occasion with His presence. Among others Mr. S. K.
