For the first time in its history, Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) has launched money transfer services early last month for quick transferring of remittances to the beneficiaries.
Now, the specialized bank is operating the modern services through all its 378 branches in 16 districts under Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions in association with Xpress Money Services Ltd and International Money Express (IME).
In his remarks, RAKUB Managing Director Monzur Ahmed mentioned that discipline is necessary for attaining the goal of any organization. It covers administrative as well as financial discipline.
So, this will be maintained at all levels of our operation. He says foreign Exchange business is considered to be very much important, for, it is a huge revenue earning source of the banking business now-a-days.
But our Foreign Exchange business is not up to the mark. Emphasis will be given for doing foreign exchange business independently through strengthening the Foreign Exchange department, keeping an eye, of course, on the recent scam that unsettled the banking arena in the recent past.
