City Bank has shifted its Tanbazar branch at BB Road in Narayanganj as a better and state-of-the-art premises.

This branch, to be named as Narayangonj Branch, will provide all sorts of retail banking and SME services from an online platform, said a press release.

Deputy managing director of the bank and Head of Business Sohail R K Hossain inaugurated the branch at its new premises.

Mashrur Arefln, head of retail banking and chief communication officer and Javed Amin, head of branches, and a large number of distinguished personalities of Narayangonj were present.

Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd (SJIBL) opened a branch in Tangail yesterday.

Former Chairman of Tangail Zila Parishad and Tangail Pourasava Shawkat Ali Talukder formally inaugurated the branch at Main Road (Nirala Mour) in the district town, said a press release.

Standard Chartered Bank has launched a new Financial Kiosk at West Hajipara in the city recently.

The Kiosk is equipped with an ATM, a Billspay machine, a contact centre hotline and an internet banking stall. In addition, there are service staffs at the kiosk to address customer queries and requests, said a press release.

A Q Siddiqui, chairman of board of directors of the bank, formally inaugurated the brokerage house, said a press release.

Managing Director of BCBL S A Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director Dr Muhammad Asaduzza- man and Chief Executive officer of Subsidiary Company M A Motalib Chowdhury were also present on the occasion.
