EXIM Bank opens branch at Satarkul
Export Import (EXIM) Bank of Bangladesh Limited opened its 75th branch at Satarkul in Dhaka on Sunday.
Dr. Mohammed Haider Ali, Managing Director and CEO of the bank, inaugurated the branch as chief guest, said a press release.
Abdullah Al Zahir (Shapan), Sponsor and Former Director, Md Fariduddin Ahmed, Advisor, M Sirajul Islam, Sirajul Haque Miah and Khondoker Rumy Ehsanul Haq, DMDs of the bank, and local elites attended.
Bank Asia donates Tk 50 lakh to Ahsania Mission Hospital
Bank Asia has donated Tk 50 lakh to Ahsania Mission Cancer and General Hospital (AMCGH) for construction of patients waiting lounge, procedure and surgical ward in the second floor of the hospital building.
A Rouf Chowdhury, Chairman of the bank handed over the cheque to Kazi Rafiqul Alam, President, Dhaka Ahsania Mission at the bank's corporate office at Rangs Tower, Purana Paltan on Sunday, said a press release.

Dhaka Bank donates Tk 10 lakh to Bishwo Shahitto Kendro
Abdul Hai Sarkar, Chairman, Dhaka Bank Limited, hands over a cheque worth Taka 10 lakh to Professor Abdulla Abu Sayeed, Chairman of the Biswa Shahittyo Kendro on Sunday.
Dhaka Bank Limited (DBL), as part of its corporate social responsibility, Sunday donated Tk 10 lakh to Biswa Shahittyo Kendro.
Abdul Hai Sarkar, Chairman of the bank handed over the cheque to Professor Abdulla Abu Sayeed, Chairman of Biswa Shahittyo Kendro, said a press release.
Khondker Fazle Rashid, Managing Director and Emranul Huq, Deputy Managing Director of the bank were also present on the occasion.
BDBL gives Tk 7.5 cr to govt exchequer
Bangladesh Development Bank Limited (BDBL), a state owned commercial bank, on Sunday provided Taka 7.5 crore to the government exchequer as dividend for the last fiscal.
BDBL Chairman Prof Shanti Narayan Ghosh handed over a cheque for Taka 7.5 crore to Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith at his secretariat office, said a press release.
BDBL managing director Dr M Zillur Rahman and other board directors of the bank were present on the occasion.
During the meeting, the BDBL chairman said although some branches of the bank are currently making profit, the BDBL has been facing problem for lack of efficient workforce.
