BASIC Bank holds workshop
BASIC Bank Limited has organised a workshop titled “Green Banking and Environmental Risk Management” at the Bank’s head office in the city on Saturday.
Md Shahabad Doza, Deputy Managing Director of the Bank was present the workshop as chief guest, said a press release.
Khondkar Morshed Millat, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank presented the key-note paper at the function.
Among others, Kurban Ali, Deputy General Manager of BASIC Bank and loan officials of 47 branches of the Bank were participated at the workshop.

AB Bank arranged a day-long workshop
AB Bank Limited arr-anged a day-long workshop on “Monetary Policy of Bangladesh Bank and Macro Economic Issues, AB Bank Perspective” in the city yesterday.
Dr Hassan Zaman, senior economic advisor to the governor of Ban-gladesh Bank (BB) was the keynote speaker at the workshop, said a press release.
Shameem A Raihan-uddin, CEO, Eshna management services conducted the discussion. M Wahidul Haque, chairman, BB Saha Roy, director and M Fazlur Rah-man, acting president and managing director of AB Bank were also present at the workshop.

DBBL workshop on SME market
K S Tabrez, managing director of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL), inaugurates a workshop on "SME Market Segmentation Database System" at the training centre of the bank in the city recently.
Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) recently organised a day-long workshop on "SME Market Segmentation Database System" for its officers of SME section of all branches in Dhaka and adjoining areas.
K S Tabrez, managing director of the Bank inaugurated the workshop at the training centre of the Bank in the city recently, said a press release.
The workshop aimed to familiarise the participants with a new reporting system designed and developed jointly by IFC, SEDF and Bangladesh Bank.
Tabrez, stated that timely and correct reporting is very much important for proper management of SME portfolios of a bank and added that the SMEs are the main source of growth in Bangladesh and it acts as a foundation and support in the supply chain thorough forward and backward linkages.
