Trust Bank Limited organised a training session on Green Banking and Environmental Risk Management at the Training Academy for its executives.

The session was inaugurated by Deputy Managing Director of Trust Bank Limited, MM Haikal Hashmi.

The training course was conducted by specialist resource person in the arena of bank Khondkar Morshed Millat, Deputy General Manager of Bangladesh Bank.

The training course has enriched the bank to be more skilled professionally to achieve goal on Green Banking and Environmental Risk Management.

The participants of Trust Bank Limited have acquired clear conceptual knowledge and direction to achieve green banking objectives form this session.

National Bank Limited organised a foundation training course for its probationary officers in Dhaka recently.

Neaz Ahmed, Managing Director and CEO of NBL inaugurated the foundation training course as the chief guest, said a press release.

National Bank Training Institute organised the training course.

Some 29 probationary officers took part at the training course.

Bangladesh Bank (BB) plans to form a Credit Guarantee Scheme (CGS) with financial support from the Department for International Development (DFID) to reduce risk of loan in THE small and cottage industry sector.

“This fund will act as guarantor for entrepreneurs of small and cottage industry sector when they will take credit from banks. If anyone of these entrepreneurs fails to pay back loan a considerable portion of such a default amount will be paid from this fund,” said Sukomal Singha Chowdhury, general manager of SME and special programmes department of the central bank.
