Kazi Towhidul Alam, Deputy Managing Director, Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited, distributes blanket to a cold-hit woman organised by the bank at Manda Branch premises in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited distributed blankets among the cold-effected people throughout the country as part of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Kazi Towhidul Alam, Deputy Managing Director of the bank inaugurated the blanket distribution programme organised by AIBL Manda Branch, Dhaka on Wednesday, said a press release.

Manir Ahmad, Senior Vice President and Head of AIBL, Dhaka North Zone, Engr. Md. Habib Ullah, Senior Vice President and Jalal Ahmed, Assistant Vice President and Head of PR were present on the occasion.

Abu Zafar Hedaytul Islam, Deputy Managing Director of Trust Bank Limited, and Shamsul Alam, Executive Director of ARS–Bangladesh, exchange documents after signing an agreement on Wednesday.

An agreement was signed between Trust Bank Limited and ARS–Bangladesh on Wednesday on “Renewable Energy Financing in Rural Areas”.

Abu Zafar Hedaytul Islam, Deputy Managing Director of Trust Bank Limited and Shamsul Alam, Executive Director of ARS–Bangladesh signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides, said a press release.

RANGPUR : The Prime Bank Limited (PBL) distributed 1,000 pieces of quality blankets among the cold-hit distressed people including women and children here on Monday afternoon to mitigate their sufferings, reports BSS.

Rangpur Divisional Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Dilwar Bakht distributed the blankets at a ceremony arranged by Rangpur Branch of the PBL at Bala Chaorahat VIP Shahadat Hossain High School ground under Badarganj upazila as the chief guest.

Director of PBL and Chairman of Prime Bank Foundation VIP Shahadat Hossain attained the ceremony as the special guest with Rangpur Branch Manager of PBL and its Vice-president Mohammad Ibrar in the chair.

Badarganj Upazila Nirbahi officer Ishtiaque Ahmed, Principal of VIP Shahadat Hossain College Professor Feroz Ahmed, union parishad chairman Altaf Hossain, PBL officials and local elite were present.

In his speech, the Divisional Commissioner highly appreciated the initiative of the PBL authority and called upon all concerned and affluent people in the society to stand by the cold-hit distressed people to mitigate their sufferings. Later,

he distributed 1,000 pieces of quality blankets among the cold-hit people of all ages of the area including men, women and children in the ceremony.

Mustafizur Rahman * Zahid Hossain *Ataur Rahman * Fonidra Tribedi

The management of Sonali Bank Limited promoted Mustafizur Rahman, Md. Zahid Hossain and Md. Ataur Rahman Prodhan as Deputy Managing Directors.

Md. Mustafizur Rahman was working as General Manager in the bank’s head office. He started banking career in 1980 as Financial Analyst of sonail bank.

During his long 34 years job, he served the bank in various capacities.

Zahid Hossain was working in the bank as Company Secretary of Board Division at head office. He started his banking career as a probationary officer in 1978.

Ataur Rahman Prodhan was working as CEO of Sonali Bank (UK) Limited. He started his banking career as Financial Analyst in 1984.

Meanwhile, Fonidra Tribedi has been promoted to General Manager of Sonali Bank.

Before his promotion, he was the Deputy General Manager of the bank. He joined Sonali Bank as a senior officer in 1984.

He attended various workshops in different countries across the globe.

 The 153rd meeting of the Board Audit Committee of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) was held at the head office of the bank recently.

Mosharraf Hossain, Chairman of the Board of Audit Committee of the bank presided over the meeting, said a press release.
