Dhaka Bank celebrates 22nd founding anniv

Dhaka Bank director Mohamad Hanif and founder and former Adviser Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed inaugurate the 22nd founding anniversary of the bank by cutting a cake at a function in the capital on Wednesday.

Dhaka Bank Limited observed its 22 years founding anniversary in the capital on Wednesday

On the occasion, a milad and doa mahfil was arranged at its corporate office along with all the branches of the bank, said a press release.

Moreover, blood donation programme was organised in association with Bangladesh Thalassemia Foundation on the corporate office premises of the bank.

Reshadur Rahman, Chairman of Dhaka Bank Limited graced the occasion as chief guest. The bank also handed over cheques to SEID (a specialised school for special children) and Assistance for Blind Children (ABC) as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

On the occasion the bank formally inaugurated ‘Dhaka Bank Electrical Engineering Lab’ of UCEP Institute of Science and Technology (UIST) – a concern of UCEP Bangladesh

It is mentionable that the bank donated Tk 30 lakh to UIST in August 2016 for establishing this high-end engineering laboratory

Director Mohamad Hanif, founder and former Adviser Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed along with former Director Khondoker Mohammad Shahjahan, Rakhi Das Gupta and Managing Director and CEO Syed Mahbubur Rahman were present in the programme.

BRAC Bank inks deal with Persona

Persona CEO and Managing Director Kaniz Almas Khan and Brac Bank Head of SME Banking Syed Abdul Momen exchange documents after signing an agreement in the capital recently.

BRAC Bank Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Persona in the capital recently.


Under the agreement, TARA debit and credit cardholders will enjoy 11 percent discount on TARA beauty package and can avail Persona membership card with only Tk 500/- worth beauty service, said a press release.


 Kaniz Almas Khan, CEO and Managing Director, and Nusrat Jabin, Senior Official from Persona, and Syed Abdul Momen, Head of SME Banking (acting), Sarah Anam, Head of Deposits and NFB, Retail Banking, Shajed Al Haque, Senior Manager, Business Analysis, SME Banking, and Mehruba Reza, Senior Product Manager, Women Banking Segment TARA, BRAC Bank, and other officials were present at the signing ceremony.
