United Commercial Bank has launched its mobile financial services ‘UCASH’ with the slogan ‘Akash Chowa Sheba’.

The bank has signed its first agreement with mobile operator Robi Axiata for providing the services to the unbanked people of the country, said a news release. 

UCB managing director Muhammed Ali and Robi Axiata chief executive officer Michael Kuehner signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides. 

Additional managing directors of UCB M Shahidul Islam and Mirza Mahmud Rafiqur Rahman, Semicon Pvt MD Kazi Mahfuzul Karim, Robi Axiata country head of digital services Rozano Marius Planta, among others, were present in the programme. 

All Robi customers registered with UCASH will be able to avail UCASH services of UCB through USSD, IVR which ensure transaction security, the release added.
