Engr Farasath Ali has been re-elected chairman of NRB Commercial Bank at its 18th board meeting held recently, says a press release.
At the same time, Dr Toufique Rahman Chowdhury was re-elected vice-chairman of the bank.
Farasath Ali was senior research and development technologist in United Sweater Mill Inc. of Bayonne of New Jersey from 1997 to 1998 and president and CEO of SNA Knitting Mill Inc in USA from 1998 to 2005. Under his leadership NRBCB was started from April 02, 2013. Dr Toufique Rahman Chowdhury is founder and chairman, board of Trustees of Metropolitan University. He is president of Sylhet Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industries. Dr Toufique Rahman Chowdhury was sponsor director and chairman of Mercantile Bank Limited.
