Western Union and NCC Bank working for “Wish come true”
During last Ramadan, Western Union, along with NCC Bank made the wishes of two individuals come true under a promotion simply and appropriately titled “Wish come true”. After a selection process that covered the entirety of Bangladesh, individuals were chosen as winners based on their answers to the question of what are their biggest wishes. The two winners were selected based on the uniqueness, sincerity and warmth of their answers. Each winner received a considerable financial sum that will enable them to fulfill their special wish. The promotion was not only fitting for a time of giving such as Ramadan, but also strongly reflected the brand ethos “Moving Money for better” of The Western Union Company (NYSE:WU), a leader in global payment services.
Under the Western Union® Wish Come True promotion1, anyone in Bangladesh was eligible to having their special wish fulfilled and no purchase or transaction was required from them in order to qualify. A total of 2 winners were selected and ceremoniously celebrated after the promotion ended. The winners were Nahida Akter from Dhaka and Mahir Uddin from Comilla. and Western Union along with NCC bank, together made their wishes come true.
Each of the winners under NCC Bank was invited to attend a celebratory event held at the head office of NCC Bank in Motijheel, where their prizes were handed over. Present at the event were high-ranking officials of Western Union and high-ranking officials of NCC Bank including Managing Director & CEO, Golam Hafiz Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director, Md. Fazlur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director, Abu Zafore Md. Saleh, and Senior Vice President, Head of Remittance & NRB Services Division, Md. Khairul Alam and Senior Vice President & Principal NCC Bank Trainning institute,, Jagadish Chandra Debnath, who spoke about the promotion and congratulated the winners.
