Shaheda Begum, a former general manager of Sonali Bank Ltd, has been appointed as a consultant to the state-run bank recently.

A master's in economics, Shaheda started her banking career as a probationary officer of Sonali Bank.

She took part in various seminars and symposiums at home and abroad.
