The 131st meeting of the board of directors of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) was held at its head office in the city recently.

Mohammad Solaiman, chairman of the board of directors of the bank, presided over the meeting, said a press release.

The meeting approved a number of investment proposals and discussed various issues relating to policy matters of the bank.

Among others, Vice Chairman of the board Md Abdul Barek, Directors-- Sajjatuz Jumma, Engr Md Towhidur Rahman, Anwer Hossain Khan, Mohiuddin Ahmed, Mohammad Farooq, Md Sanaullah Shahid, Mohammad Hasan, Abdul Halim, Alternate Directors-- Rukun Uddin Khan and Md Masud, Managing Director-- Md Abdur Rahman Sarker, Additional Managing Director Md Mukhter Hossain and Deputy Managing Director Md Abdul Jabber Chowdhury were also present on the occasion.
