Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) opened its 83rd Branch at Dhonia on 24 December 2012. The Chairman of the bank Alhaj Anwer Hossain Khan formally inaugurated the Branch as Chief Guest. 

Directors of the Bank Alhaj Syed Nurul Arefeen, Alhaj Mohammad Hasan, Alhaj Abdul Barek,

Managing Director Md. Abdur Rahman Sarker, and Deputy Managing Director Md Abdul Jabber Chowdhury were present in the Occasion.

In his speech, Anwer Hossain Khan said that Shahjalal Islami Bank was trying best for presenting modern banking services to clients. For this consequences SJIBL inaugurated a new branch at Donia.

SJIBL wants to be a business partner in this area's economic development by investing in business and industrial sector.

Managing Director Md Abdur Rahman Sarker said the bank has a group of skilled and dexterous employees besides modern technology based services.
