Vice Principal Abdus Shahid, Chief Whip of the parliament, hands over blankets among the cold-hit people at Sreemangal organised by Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited.

Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) distributed blankets among the cold-hit people of Sreemangal and Kamalganj.

Vice Principal Abdus Shahid, Chief Whip of the national parliament, handed over the blankets to tea labourers of different area at Sreemongol and Kamalgonj, said a press release.

Bhanu Lal Rai, Chairman of Sreemangal-3 Union Parishad and Md Solaiman, Manager of the branch attended the occasion.

The bank is distributing blankets to the poor at remote areas through its 276 branches across the country.

Besides, the bank so far distributed about Tk 300 million last year among 1.7 million poor under CSR activities in the field of education, culture, preservation of environment and humanitarian aspects.
