BASIC Bank organised managers’ conference at Bangabandhu Interna tional Conference Centre (BICC) in the city recently.

Sheikh Abdul Hye Bachchu, chairman of the Bank, was present at the conference as chief guest.

The day-long conference was presided over by Kazi Fakhrul Islam, managing director of the bank, said a press release.

Sheikh Monjur Mor- shed, additional managing director and deputy managing directors and a large number of high officials of the Bank were present on the occasion.

Sheikh Abdul Hye Bachchu urged the Bank officials to be careful before sanctioning loan to any borrower.

The year 2012 is a challenging year for banking sector of the country as it would face shortage of deposits and foreign currency as well, he said quoting economists.

Kazi Fakhrul Islam: “Last year the Bank crossed its earning target by giving better client service. This year we hope we would be able to overcome the target of earning Tk 3 billion through properly maintain the guideline of the board of directors.
