DBBL donates ambulance to DMP

Dutch-Bangla Bank donated one life support ambulance to Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
KS Tabrez, Managing Director of the bank handed over the key of the ambulance to Benazir Ahmed, Commissioner, DMP at a ceremony at Dhaka Metropolitan Police Headquarter on Saturday.
The life support ambulance procured at a cost of Tk 40 lakh will help carrying the sick police personnel or wounded forces to the hospital and can also be used by any distressed people in need by call.

BKB disburses Tk 29.31cr farm loan in Narsingdi

NARSINGDI: Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) Narsingdi region has distributed over Taka 29.31 crore as agricultural loan among 3,414 farmers of the district during the first six months of the current fiscal 2013-14 through its 21 branches.
Official sources said BKB earmarked Tk 89,35 crore for disbursement as agriculture loan in the district during the current fiscal. The percentage of loan distribution by the bank in the region stands at 33 percent on December 30.
Meanwhile BKB during the same period realized Tk over 33,42 crore outstanding loan against the realisation target fixed by the bank for the year over Tk 109,50 crore.
The percentage of loan realisation by the bank in the region stands at 31 percent on December 30.
Talking to BSS, official of BKB said that the loan disbursement and realization remained hampered and the percentage of loan disbursement and realization target could not fulfill due to law and order situation in the wake of political unrest.

Kamal Bhuiyan new ED of BB
Mohammad Masum Kamal Bhuiyan has been promoted to Executive Director of the Bangladesh Bank.
After his promotion, he took charge as Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank in Chittagong office.
He stood third and seventh position in SSC and HSC examinations respectively in Comilla Board.
Kamal Bhuiyan obtained his Masters degree in Accounting from Dhaka University.
Also he obtained Banking and Finance MBA degree from Wales University in England.
He visited England, Pakistan, Singapore, UAE, Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, Canada and Malaysia.
Kamal Bhuiyan, a brilliant student secured the third and the seventh position in the SSC and the HSC examinations respectively in Comilla Board.
