Abrar Anwar joins Standard Chartered
Abrar A. Anwar, a well-known Corporate and Investment Banker of the country, has recently joined Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh as the managing director of wholesale banking to lead its corporate banking team.
Abrar has joined Standard Chartered from Citibank NA, where he was serving as the managing director & head of global corporate & commercial banking, said a press release.
He has acquired 19 years of practical experience in corporate and investment banking in Bangladesh, India and UK.
He brings with him 19 years of successful Corporate and Investment Banking experience, gathered during his work experience in Bangladesh, India and UK.
Abrar started his career with ANZ Grindlays Bank in 1991 as a Management Trainee after completion of MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of Dhaka University.
