Andrew Tilke yesterday joined Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) Bangladesh as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Earlier, the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) Lim- ited announced appointment of Andew as CEO for HSBC Bangladesh, said a press release.

Andrew, after joining HSBC Group in 1983, served the Bank in various positions in Europe and the Asia Pacific region. He was Senior Executive, International; Senior Man- ager, Group Audit Asia Pacific.

Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) recently signed a deal on remittance transfer with Al Ahalia Money Exchange Bureau of United Arab Emirate (UAE).

Under the agreement, Bangladeshi expatriates living in UAE would be able to send their hard earned money safely and quickly to the beneficiaries across the country by Electronic Fund Transfer through Bank, said a press release.
