Trade Mid Office Manager, Global Trade & Receivables Finance

• Global Trade and Receivables Finance comprises (GTRF) over 4,500 people across more than 60 countries, helping suppliers and buyers with their export and import finance needs. Trade is where HSBC began in 1865, when we financed commerce between Europe, North America and Asia.
  
• In this role, you will:
  
• Monitor, control and supervise the overall operations of designated Middle office Unit's import/export comprising of on-shore and off-shore business of GTRF, maximise efficiency and profitability in line with Bank's objectives
  
• Provide advisory services on critical trade issues, regulatory framework and trade structures to clients, business development team and relationship managers; also extend ongoing support to Head of GTRF and Head of Trade Mid Office for seamless product delivery, in a dynamic trade environment
  
• Achieve operational efficiency with optimal customers' satisfaction that will lead to increase market share and profitability of the Bank while effectively managing the operational and related risks
  
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to position the Bank as the Trade Bank of choice for our customers, and to achieve a leadership position amongst competitors
  
• Take ownership to safeguard the Bank from potential loss, increase efficiency of GTRF department and ensure local compliance
  
• Maintain and ensure due observance of HSBC Internal Control standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy
