  • Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group's people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.
  • In this role, you will:
    Understand the business and departmental objectives and identify how HR can drive/support the achievement of these in partnership with the business/function; you will also contribute to the development of local business plans, ensuring HR strategy (global/regional/business line/local) is an integral element in the business strategy
    Provide strategic input into local HR function by providing input to senior HR management on business/ functional issues, ensuring these are factored into HR policy and practices; use specialist / professional knowledge to identify and develop new or improved delivery mechanisms
  • Use human capital metrics to anticipate and identify local trends, risks and needs within the business and translate these into strategic and relevant HR deliverables, managing their deployment into the business
  • Provide proactive HR support to the designated business/function including identifying talent needs and talent pool candidates, promoting career development, coaching and development planning
  • Facilitate effective and consistent performance management, calibration and pay review discussions and negotiations within the business/function
  • Act with courageous integrity and behaves according to HSBC's values during the day to day operations within the team, help foster a healthy and positive working environment, and the growth of skill sets within the team; provide coaching to less experienced and junior members to optimise their performance and engagement; create and lead local change programmes to realise improved business performance
  • Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures, and compliance with all internal controls and external regulatory requirements; anticipate, identify, and manage the operational/people risks to business performance, HR reputation and the HSBC brand; conduct disciplinary, grievance, and tribunal actions as required
